I plan on setting up a clam tank just clams period. How many do you think I could keep in a 29 gallon tank? I plan on having about 230 watts altogether for the tank. Need your opinions! Thanks

Once you start, you'll get addicted instantly. There's no turning back after the first one. :D

Don't forget to make sure your clams get a source of nitrogen. In Knop's book Giant Clams he talks about possible complications of providing nitrogen in a well stocked clam-only tank. I know there is a least 1 supplement out there for adding nitrate to a tank. If you go that route be sure not to add too much nitrogen. Good luck. I plan to set up a clam only tank in the future but it will probably be plumbed to my existing system for easier maintenance and cheaper costs.

If you're setting up a clam tank just for clams. Why not use a shallow tank so you can view them from top? I bought a Visio glass tank 24x24x12"tall just for this purpose. But I will also keep SPS.
