Hey just setting up my 125 gallon 6' reef tank so far for powerbeads I have
125 gallon
72x20x20
2 vortech mp10s on each end wave mode, seems to be doing ok but may need more flow in some spots wife approved of another/more powerheads so before she changes her mind...

Im thinking of adding either

1-2 wp25's one on each end putting each mp10s on back wall

1wp40 and ramp it down

what u guys think?

How is your water on reef crest mode on both MP10s and what do you intend to keep?
The reason I ask is because you have already spent good money on your setup to achieve a no-electricity-in-the-water goal. If you put a Jebao in there, you pretty much are losing all the benefit of your investment.
Now, don't get me wrong. I have a WP40 in my tank. That PH is powerful!. But I went in that direction to save some moolah. Now you have already spent it so I think you may want to consider some eductors for your return tips. Also you could sell the vortechs and buy Jebaos, and corals and holiday gifts for your family with the money from it :)

However, if I should just answer your question and not 'help' with suggestions, I'd say go with a WP40. You can always ramp it down if it's too much flow.

Ill post some pics tomorrow, of my rock work just looking to get extra flow behind the rocks i have 3 island kinda and i really like the synced wave mode short pulse but its lacking the back and dead zones so i was thinking doing a wp25 mid to low on one side for flow behind and extra dead zone flow

I would do an mp40 on one end, situated in the middle front-back, about 2/3 of the way up. Then an mp10 at the other end, situated more towards the front about halfway up. Then your other mp10 i'd place it on the back wall, near the middle but closer to the other mp10 than the mp40. Depending on your rockwork will dictate your height of that pump. Actually, your rockwork will dictate if you can even do this setup. That's what I would do if I had an empty tank though.

Haven't filled in the right side yet it will be a lower and connected to 3rd island that will be mostly zoo and facia and acan garden
