My first ever reef tank is a year old now. Since I have learned so much from this forum, I thought it was time to share it with all of you!

In the video, I turned my kessils down to 20% (blue) & 100% (white). It looks nicer because the video just couldn't capture how it really looks to the eye at full 100% (blue) & 100% (white). Let me know what you all think! I am open to critiques... Enjoy

Current status of tank: I am at a point of testing/figuring out the best way to tackle Nitrates with the recent addition of an algae scrubber. I am running GFO and 2-part b-ionic on an auto-doser. All levels are spot on except Nitrates which I want to get at 1ppm. I am battling some slight cyano and GHA but besides that, my tank is doing pretty good IMO. I am still learning and still having fun!

Awesome tank, corals look really healthy and colorful! Next time you make a video of your tank though you should talk.

Thanks! Yeah they're hyper green star polyps so they are a really bright green! However, if I could start over I prob wouldn't add them back in cause they are really taking over and pushing other corals aside!

Job well done!! All the fish and corals look very healthy. Maybe we can expect updated videos every three months or so???

Absolutely fantastic. I think you should expand your SPS variety, a lot of repeat green stylo and monti caps :)

Thanks!!! I will for sure do an updated video. I will be moving into a new house in about 3-4 months and I expect to have some drastic changes happen to my tank during the move. I will post a new video once I am settled into the new place

Thanks, I couldn't agree with you more. I plan on expanding on different SPS varieties after I move.

Love that Monti. Hoping I can get my nitrates and phosphates down to expand over to SPS here in the future. Tank looks great.

Gorgeous tank. Actually you inspired me to go cut back some kenya tree and do a water change I have been meaning to do. Yours is just so nice! Hey what is the green coral at about 2:16? I have a season's greetings it reminded me of....but I don't think the SG grows quite like that. It isn't SG is it?

Anyways, sooooo pretty!

Thank you very much!

It's not a seasons greetings as those polyps are bright red, right? The coral in my tank is a spongodes montipora. Seen here: http://www.orafarm.com/products/hardcoral/montipora/spongodes/

Have fun with the tank maintenance and glad my video inspired you to do sooo!
