Hey guys,

I'm looking for opinions on possibly changing skimmers. I'm current running a Geo 8" body, external recirculating design and wanted to know what you think of a Reef Octopus Diablo I've got a line on.

Problems with the Geo:
#1 I can't get it to skim consistently. Some weeks it will barely skim....next time I check on it and it will fill the cup overnight.

#2 The Sedra pump is nearly impossible to find a 0-ring for the front plate....so I end up having to silicone it to seal it after every cleaning.

#3 I guess I'm just frustrated with the thing as I'm always messing with it to keep it producing.

Do you think the Diablo is capable of doing a better job or should I stick with what I have. I've got a 180 DT, 125g sump, and 2 frag tanks....aprox 350 gallons.

Thoghts? Will it produce more consistently for me or should I pass and keep tweaking what I've got.

I should add that the amount of bubbles in the chamber is a lot better now....however performance is all over the place.
