Blows the fish all over the tank, I really think they try to avoid the stream. I was watching for the last few days and the stream is brutal on them. Does anyone else feel the same on there 4 foot tank? I have to come up with a new plan with this pump.

It's ok in a 4' 120 gal. Maybe reposition it to reduce the flow. For instance you can deflect it off the front pane or position the pump lower in the tank and angle it more upward to take the edge off a little. Or.. (and I prefer not doing this) get a dimmer and lower the voltage.

The pump has a pretty strong direct flow. Try to angle it in a way it doesnt bother the fish. Youve already seem that the fish dont like it, so just watch them until you find a spot that makes them happy. If that doesnt work then get a dimmer or Apex to control the pumps.

The fish will get used to it, there is tons more flow in the ocean then with 1 wp40

It will **** off my rabbit fish abd blow my tangs around on w1 s1. On the other hand, those fish need current to swim in and this slightly mitigates having these fish in a tank that's a foot or two too short. I run nine in W1 S1 for several hours each morning and the switch the wp40 to w1 s3 and the wp25 to else or w1 s3.

Dude just adjust it so its in reef crest or in the pulse mode I have an mp40 and mp10 in my 50 breeder on full blast reef crest mode I'm more worryed about my LPs then my fish they have adapted

Uh, its a wp40 not an mp40...

But back to point, I do think it is a little overpowered for that tank. Two wp-25s were great for my 120. the ocean may have more current but its not constant all the time and some of these fish may not be native to areas with lots of flow. I say go by what you are seeing rather than other peoples experiences because every tank is different. (not saying anyone is wrong, but if your fish arent happy, then that says it all). Might give it a few days and see if they adjust. If not, change something

Appreciate the input. The only time I feel the fish aren't ticked with it is a couple of modes as in w1 mode. Forget about the else or any of the first 2 modes. They def. react like I want them to with light modes.

Didn't realize their problem until I really observed the fish lately, hence the thread.

just dial them down, if you don't have a controller you can use a cheap dimmer
