im getting some dimmable LEDs on my tank, i remember at one time hearing that it is possible to slowly turn on and off the lights to simulate the sun rise/setting. what would the code be to bring the lights on and off ?

See my website for my code but basically, you define a profile of type Ramp, set the min and max percentage and ramp time. Next, assign the profile to the outlet.

Remember, this only works with LEDs that are supported by the Apex (e.g., AquaIllumination, or som DIY units where you wire them into a VarSpd port).

Not All LEDs are created equal when it comes to dimmable.

What do you think about these lights on a reef system? Would they ramp on and off gradually?

Judging by the specs on the site, i do not believe it takes a 0-10V source which the apex uses to dim. I use my APEX to dim my DIY LED's with meanwells and it works very well!
