OK, I have marine velvet in my main DT and only two fish left (blue shoulder tang and a cleaner wrasse). I am planning on removing the two fish to QT as I cannot treat the DT with copper based meds due to having mushrooms, bubble coral, anemonies feather dusters and snails.

My question is: if I take out the fish for at least eight weeks, but continue to feed the inverts and corals frozen brine shrimp and frozen meaty foods, will the meaty foods help the marine velvet survive? Does marine velvet need a living host to feed on? Also, I have several snails without shells that come out at night - will they serve as a host to the marine velvet? Thanks for any help.
