Soft lighting, a nice dinner for two, a little wine, Barry White playing on the stereo... in the end it is up to the shrimp/golby. It does seem to help (I think) to introduce them to the tank at the same time.

I don't think you have to try hard, it's natural. I was moving a Randal's and a Yasha's that had different colored pistol shrimp. I accidentally switched the shrimp and they paired with the new shrimp in minutes.

They will eventually find each other and fall in love. Just give it some time. :)

I've only had two pair but they both hooked up the first night :) Had a Randalls with a tiger pistol and a Yasha with a tiger pistol.

I have a yellow watchman/tiger pistol shrimp. The first shrimp the lfs ordered in died, so they had to order another one for me so the goby was in the tank for 2 weeks before the shrimp. They paired up about a week after the shrimp went in. They are very interesting, and possibly my favourite tank inhabitants.
