View Full Version : Do colt corals and devil's hand corals play nice together? (PIC Included)

I had to move my colt coral to a nice open spot on top of a rock on the left side of my tank (shown in pic). The reason was it started growing so big it shaded all my ricordia which started losing color and closing up.

Now the question is, do I have it too close to my Devil's hand? It's looking fairly bent right now and usually stands straight up. More worried about toxin/chemistry than anything.

Any thoughts?

As long as there's enough flow around the corals, I think you'll be ok. You don't want them to touch, but even if they did they probably wouldn't kill each other. If anything, the polyps on both corals might not come out where they are in contact with each another.
Running carbon on a regular basis will also help with any chemical warfare that might be going on as well. GL.
