About 3 weeks ago i introduced a bubble tip anemone to my 30 Gallon tank. I also have a Maroon Anemone that is doing great, but the bubble tip will not open. He moves around and inflates but thats about it. I notice he inflates more at night when the light is off, but im not sure why or if there is anything i can do to get him to want to open up.

How old is your tank? What are your wayer parameters? What do you have for lighting?

It sounds stressed out IMO. Is the maroon harassing it? Sometimes clowns love their homes just a little too much.

I added a RBTA to my tank about 3 weeks ago as well. Today was the first time he looked great. When I first put him in, he was inflated and deflated over and over again. He went under a rock and hid for awhile. After being under there and not getting any light I moved the rock he was hiding under. He moved out and down onto a different rock. He has been in the same place for about a week and a half now.

If it is holding strong with his foot I would say let it be. They take some time to get used to the water. Mine made me nervous when he was deflated with his mouth open. But like I said he looked great tonight. Best I have seem him look, even better than when I saw him at the LFS.

This. I hope your tank was ready for them!
