How long after dosing prazi is it safe to put copper into the system?

Anytime. PP and copper are safe together, but the PP is said to be less effective. I'd ask a mod to move this to the disease forum.

if possible for them to move it that would be great.

I think my other question that I should have put in there as well is do the meds you put into the water break down after a time or do i need a water change to remove it all?

Carbon absorbs it

Thanks, I just don't want any interactions with meds going south, would something like chelated or ionic copper have a different reaction to this med? i've heard some stuff when used with those types of copper can cause it to be unstable.

there's no reason in the world to use prazi. it really doesn't do squat ;) if you treat flukes w/prazi, they'll come right back. all it will/can do is paralyze flukes-they fall to the bottom, then wake up later to go find your fish again. even if you scrupulously vacuum the tank's bottom daily, you won't get 'em all. fw dips are FAR more effective, and quicker.

mixing any meds isn't usually recommended-most do break down in water-some quite quickly. any high quality carbon should be able to remove medications w/in 48 hrs (usually preceded by a partial wc).
