I am starting to worry about this new trigger. I received him Tuesday. He was packed very well as usual from DiversDen, but he made quite a mess in the bag. After just starting to open the multiple layers I could smell the funk. Long story short: he was swimming upside down and not doing well in general. I hurried the acclimation as I could see it wasn't getting any better. He wedge himself in the first rock he could find, now is in a diff spot, but barely moving. Any thoughts? I'll prob just leave him alone. I've had fish that didn't ship well but were usually better than this within 48 hrs.

humaguy will probably tell you the same, as he has done to me many times, but triggers are tough SOBs. Mine did the same thing when he was moved to my DT for the first day or so, but eventually came out. I'd do the same - leave him be for a bit and just observe.

BTW: Saw that Blueline while it was up - gorgeous fish.

leave the lights off and keep feeding him...they are amazingly tough fish, keep us updated...they are terrific fish, good luck

Thanks guys, that has been my plan from the start, just let him be. I am glad that not a single fish in the tank even seems to notice him. It hasn't eaten anything because of where it has hidden. However, I was surprised at how fat he was when I first got him. Judging by the mess in the bag I'd say he'll be a pig once he comes around.

Every once in a while I'll grab a single littleneck clam from the grocery store, remove part of the shell and drop it in, and my rectangle trigger goes nuts for it. Might be worth a shot if you continue to notice him not eating.

Let DD know the status, they'll probably extend the guarantee. I've seen triggers bounce back when no other fish could possibly make it....several times.

Thanks again guys.
This BLT is in a spot where I can barely see him. He's moving a little in the cave he found. I can't get a pic but go back to last Fridays DD; BLT listed as from Philippines, for $130 AT 6 inches. Awesome fish.
