looks good. Any information on the lighting needs and tank placement?

With MH put low in the tank in indirect light. These can be moved up in the tank over a 3-4 week period. They are very nice for those low areas in the tank where you normally do not put Acropora. Water parameters and current conditions are the same as other Acropora.

that one looks pretty good. You are correct that it would be nice to have some acros in lower places in the tank.

Are the deeper ones rich in color as well? As you know I like the rich and bright colors and I was thinking of Yuma or perhaps zooanthids for lower in the tank, but if acro would work, all the better.

I did notice it was already sold, if you get others, please keep me in mind.

Most often the colors are not as bright as the shallow SPS. The one pictured above probably fell somewhere between. I have attached a picture below of another one I got a few weeks ago. It also has bright colors but is considered deep water Acropora. I think we should keep your tank as close to 100% Bali SPS as we can. LOL!

I gotta admit I do like the looks of those Bali pieces. As a side question, the montipora (red one) do you have a picture of how it would mount to a piece of live rock?

I am thinking of placing it on the large show piece of rock on a side all by itself. Opinion?

Then on the top and other sides put different pieces on it. Also, my hope is to have a large sand area, similar to the Japanese tanks.

So perhaps it would be more prudent to go with less rock. Thoughts?

Aged Salt,
Glad to hear that your deep water Acropora arrived in great condition and that you are happy with it. There is a thread on deep water Acropora in the SPS section, here on RC. You may want to take a look at it. Thanks again for your support and I hope to meet you a MACNA.
