I bought this anemone months ago and the clowns completely ignored it but that last couple days they are doing this.
Had to share!

Congrats! Did you do any tricks to convince them, or did they figure it out on their own?

they figured it out on their own.
Mine finally started to host the frogspawn that has been in the tank for months. I think getting it up on a rock a little higher off of the bottom helped. I'm really glad though, it's a ton of fun to watch!

Clownfish don't host cnidarians. Some cnidarians do host clownfish. :)

I must have been super lucky....my Maroon was trying to get hosted by my GBTA whilst the nem was acclimatising in the bag !!!
Been best buddies ever since too :)
So nice to see the natural way the fish feeds the nem and protects it until it's finished feeding....lovely

My clarkii pair finding the LTA was one of the more irrationally happy moments of my adult life.

Cool stuff. Love seeing this. Those maroon(?)s seem to like the RBTA's.

My clowns host the anemone thats been in there for about 2 + month for the first time today also. They hosting both the anemone and my umbrella leather.
They never went near the anemone before.

I find it really interesting that various clown fish seem to "pair up" with inert objects such as the overflow box mentioned earlier in the thread....
....simply because it is not the fish but the anemone that hosts in this symbiotic relationship and how can an overflow box possibly send the right chemical signals to the fish??

Nice! It took forever for my clowns to host and once they did it was oddly exciting.
