I purchased one of your units probably 3-4 years ago, and never actually got around to hooking it up. It has been sitting in my basement ever sense, and has never been wet. Will the time spent sitting around cause any issues for the membrane or media?

i would let it flush itself a bit but as long as it measures 0 tds it should be as good as new still... unless i'm missing something IMO

You probably need to replace the membrane... It should never get above 90 degrees for the membrane. Otherwise Jerzey's advice is spot on! Fast Flush for 5-10 minutes. Make sure you're getting 0 TDS readings.

Also check the DI cartridge, if it has drawn moisture, it is probably exhausted and needs to be changed. It will change to a rusty orange. color.

Thanks,
