Refugium Question

Hi All,
I am fairly new to setting up a reef tank and first time with a refugium. i have been cycling my tank for about six weeks and evrything seems to be going normal. i have noticed a brown algae growth in the refugium and was wondering if this was good or bad.

What all do you have in your fuge? Could be lack of flow or depending on how long the light is on aswell.

I have a mix of miracle and mineral mud as a substrate, two mango plants and Chaetomorpha. I run an LED light 24 hours.

ditch the miracle mud and cut the lighting back to only run opposite the tanks lighting
