I have 4 inch Squamosa clam that doesn't sit up right but prefers to lay on it side it's fully open and Seems healthy. It's under 3x150watt MH and 4x 96 watt PC. will it continue to be healthy also it's sitting on the sand

It will starve to death if its on its side.

Sitting in the sand is good, as long as it is getting sufficient light. Sufficient light is key here, as it absorbs the light through its mantle, which needs to be facing up in order to absorb enough light.

I have set it up right about 3xs but it lays back down. The mantle is fully opened while laying down. It's more of a slant then laying down

i would try to see if it wants to move somewhere else, maybe away from flow or toward a little less light since you have tons oflight, rather than immediately replacing it upright. but if it persists in being on its side, that's not a good sign. btw not much can be determined about a clam that's not acting right after only 3 weeks.

Thanks for advice. I placed it up right with LR around it so it doesn't tip over again but moved it to less flow. I will watch it
