Help with which bulbs for an Aquatic Life T5 6-bulb

The bulbs need replacing. I have been reading that ATI bulbs may be the way to go. Which bulb combination would be the best for a 110 Tall tank? This tank is 30 inches tall so I want the best combination to get a good color and maximum penetration with 6 T5 bulbs. Any thoughts as to what you would do?

My tank is only 22 inches tall so Im not sure. I can say that ATI bulbs are top notch and think a combination of Coral Plus, Blue Plus, and Aquablue special would be a good start.

You'll be amazed of the difference between the dull looking aquatic life bulbs and the ati's. You'll be kinda bummed you didn't switch them out earlier. It's like HD compared to a retro tube television.

I have aquatic life fixture. I currently run 4 blue+, 1 purple+, and 1 coral.
Its over a 75g tank.
Had ge 6500 and just switch with coral+
I like the color combo, and getting good color and growth from coral.

Now would this color combination give me the best possibility of penetration for 30 inches of water. Is there a bulb (or two) that could be an option to assist in getting higher par at the sand bed level? Am I over-thinking the fact that I have such a deep tank ad just go with one of the above combos?

3 blue plus and 3 coral plus IMO. It's a nice 14-16k color.

Bulbs won't help with penetration. Your limiting factor is the reflectors in the AL fixture. Keep high light stuff up and only put low light stuff on the sand.

I now have about 4 combinations to chose from. Ryan, just curious, why wouldn't you incorporate one of the purple+ or Aquablue specials into the mix?

3 blue+ and 3 coral+ looks good. Some people don't like purple + in fixtures with less than 8 bulbs. My suggestion is to buy 7 bulbs... 3 B+, 3C+, and 1 P+. The AB special washes out the blue color in fixtures with less than a 3 to 1 ratio. 4 blue+ 1aquablue and 1 coral plus doesn't look bad imo.
