Ok what should I do?

I have a 50 gallon tank gong def use it as a quarintine tank. Now after my new fish are quarintined I was thinking of turning that tank into a frag tank. Is that wrong of me? Should I get another tank as well for the frag tank?
I guess I should protect always right? Not really sure if I should pick up another or no? Just trying to think things through.

I would pick a new one up with Petco having their 1/gal sale. You want to isolate the qt as just that a qt.

Did you use any medicine in the QT tank? If so keep it as a QT tank.

I was going to use copper in the qt tank nothing set up yet but it is on my to do list. I guess I will buy another tank, damn this hobby is expensive

Do you really need a 50 gallon qt Tank is another question? You may be able to get a 20 gallon at Petco for 20 Bucks and save the 50 for your frag tank.

You don't NEED to only use the tank as a QT... U can use it after that for something different IME... And I would use hyposalinity or something other than copper... The. You can be really be rest assured its ok to use...
