I have two new led china lights, one i had to return and the second isnt working right either. I have one loner A350W tuna blue kessil which i like a lot. Im about to just buy the loner and get a second but am wondering if two of those will be enough? My tanks a standard 90 gallon, im wanting sps corals but currently just have soft corals. Will two of the 350w's be enough for my 90?

I would go with 3 Kessil A350W's.

If you can do 3 then definitely go with 3. It will make a huge difference.

I really can only afford two. Any other good led units under $1000 total? Old radions maybe or aquaillumination lights? I just want good growth and be able to keep sps.

Kessil's are good lights but the 350's have already been replaced twice by newer versions. I'd do some homework before going with what you are considering.

Two would be more than enough.

If you have your heart set on Kessil, you could watch eBay and trader forums. They come up every once and a while. There was one guy selling three, one unopened, just last month. Last time I saw he was under $300 each. Also, you could just get one more 350 and supplement it with a center A150W Deep Ocean to get things glowing while the other two can be set lower for more growth. I just purchased a year old A150W on eBay for $180 with gooseneck - works great.

The 350 hasn't been replaced. Both 360's are in addition to the 350, and many people actually prefer the 350's color and results to the 360. I vote to just grab the two 350's and just don't start adding in many SPS's till you get your third one down the road.

The 350's haven't been replaced. The 360 is the same light as the 350 but can be worked with a controller. I have the A350W over a 40B. It was new for Xmas as an upgrade from my A150w. It's so bright I have it turned down to 25% to acclimate stuff - and that's bright enough lol :D

Ok maybe replaced wasn't the right word for the 350 version since they are still being sold new (at least for the time being). I just think that the 360 version was a big step forward for Kessil allowing you to adjust color and intensity separately. In that respect I don't think that the 360 and 350 Kessils are the same light at all. Maybe the same wattage but not the same light. Just my opinion. if you are happy with the 350 that you already have look for another and be done with it.

Correct, they are different lights for the most part that's why you'll get different results. I've spoke to several people who had better coloration and growth under 350's than when they switched to 360's. Obviously lots of variables but it goes to show the 350 is still a viable option. I've picked up two used now for my 57g and paid under $300ea shipped to me. In addition to liking the lights, kessil is also a great company to deal with. Had a 150 go out on me that was given to me as a present. No proof of purchase, it was well out of warranty and yet they replaced it with no questions asked. Paid for shipping and shipped a brand new light to me the same day I called. New light arrived the next day, stick it in, placed the old on in the box and dumped it at the ups store.
