cycling question??? filtering question?

i have a
3gallon tank, 5gal, and a 10gal
all cycling right now.

just got the sand and water in the tanks last night.
i have 2 filters - a Aquaclear70 and an Aquaclear 110
im going to put the 70 in the 3gallon and the 110 in the 10 gallon

---my question---
do i need to run the Filters right now while the tank is cycling? the only media i have is what comes inside of the box. would you suggest i use it?

or should i just put filter floss in the filters and let them run till the cycle is over?

As it's likely the only source of circulation in the tank, as well as having bio media, I suggest you have them on.

so should i only use the filters as circulation
and not add the media stuff? -balls/carbon/sponge ?
or just add the sponges that come with the filters?

No need for the media, the sponges are good for polishing solids out of the water, and leave room for carbon to use if needed in the future.
