I need an external protein skimmer and the area I wish to put it is a little height challenged at 26". The skimmer is for a 210 fowlr pretty well stocked.

Of course I need to leave room for the cup removal.

I have narrowed it down to three options...

RLSS makes an external skimmer that appears really good quality and comes with a DC pump called the Waveline r-8e at about 24 inches.

reef octopus has two options

sro2000ext at 24 inches with the bubble blaster hy2000 pump (lower end line)
xp2000ext at 24 inches as well same pump

they also make a rcds200ext but a bit too close for comfort at 25.8 inches.

I find reef octopus's offerings a bit confusing.

Anyway, if anyone has any direct ecperience with any of them above, it would be appreciated.

thanks

I have a SRO 6000 ext and have had had great success and rock solid. I was so impressed I bought its small brother a NBW110 for my frag tank. Both work great. If I am not mistaken and you would have to verify this but I think the BB pump has a three year warranty.
