the past few months ive been using a busted RODI machine - took it to my trusted LFS and they said it was 140?
been using this water for over 3 months now.
how many do u think i need to do and how often?
i have 5 anemones in my 29 gal biocube so its hard on the nems doing such large water changes.

do u think 25% changes every few days for a month would get the red crap/algae off my rocks?

Water changes might help. However, in my system, there is always a small amount of Cyano hanging around. I have tried all the suggestions... Light out, water changes, light feeding, more flow. I have had cyano growing right off my returns in one tank. So, I am not a believer in the "need more flow" theory.
IMO the water changes will defiantly help with the situation.

Here is an article I found regarding the Cyano http://netclub.athiel.com/cyano/cyanos2.htm

And another, http://www.saltwatersmarts.com/controlling-cyanobacteria-blue-green-algae-rid-aquarium-1596/

And finally another, http://www.manhattanreefs.com/forum/reefs-beginners/46961-cyanobacteria-primer.html

I hope this helps.
