Hey I was thinking of building a tank. I was wondering if anyone has kept sharks in an octagon shaped tank. I was thinking of building one with the dimensions of 2ftLx2ftH which will give about 5ft from side to side. I was wondering if I could keep a Bali catshark or pair in this for life?

I am not a shark keeper how ever I have read many posts from people that do keep sharks. Many times people have asked if a 6' 180 gallon or 6' 240 gallon tank would be large enough for sharks and the response is always no. They need more length to swim. Even though your tank would have great width and length I would assume it still wouldn't be large enough.
Their are a couple guys on here that seem great with sharks, try PM alprazo or zoodiver. Hope this helps a little

+1

Zoodiver was very helpful when I PM'ed him about my Smooth hound custom build. The guy really knows his stuff, as does alprazo. I would say the tank is too small as well. Those two will set you in the right direction though...

personally I wouldn't attempt any shark or ray with less than a 12'x12'x3' tank and that IMO is SMALL for them.
