Ok guys, so here is my potential build. I currently have a 40 Breeder cycling for Seahorses. The Seahorse tank will not be up and running with Seahorses probably for another 3-4 months. I want to make sure I have everything stable and the inside of the tank finished before I add any horses.

I have also decided to downgrade my mixed reef from a 75g to a 40 Breeder as well. My plan is pictured below.

My vision is simple. I may need to tweak it some. Basically have both tank in a corner setup with a table in the corner for prepping food to feed and anything else that has to do with these tanks. Any suggestions to modify the setup is welcome.

I am planning on running both setups with HoB equipment. Reason being is this will be in my living room and I believe I can make a completely silent setup using good HoB equipment.

Equipment List:

Skimmer - 2 x Reef Octopus BH1000
Lighting - Seahorse Tank - Marineland Double Bright Marine LED: Reason behind me picking this light for the Seahorses is because they don't like super bright light and I will not be keeping anything that requires high lighting. Low to medium requirement stuff will be put in this tank.
- Reef Tank - Current USE Orbit Marine LED - Tank is 17" deep and I should be able to keep most corals under this light. I only have 1 SPS and do not plan on getting any more.
Power Heads - Seahorse Tank - MP20 or WP25
- Reef Tank - 2 Koralia #2's on Wavemaker
Refuge - Aquafuge 2 Medium with Light

Please tweak and make suggestions. Thanks

What is the height of the top border of the tanks and what is the height of the table?

Also I believe Koralias 2 click when on a wavemaker.

The table will be level with both tanks. It will look like a corner table with 2 tanks on the ends but in reality it will be 2 tank stands and table.

I have the Koralia Wavemaker with the 12v pumps. They are dead silent. I am actually trying to sell all my Koralia stuff and get 2 MP20s.

You won't be able to access the table unless you spread out the tanks or are wanting to hangover the tanks and possible knock equipment in...

Unless I'm seeing this wrong

Also I'd highly suggest plumbing them both into a single sump there are ways to do this with out much noise. I have a 60 cube in my living room that is almost dead silent

I can't plumb them together because of the Seahorses need a lower temp than the reef. The tanks only come up to my stomach so reaching the table shouldn't be a problem. I am also looking to a corner table that is a little longer on the ends so there will be space.

So I have come to the conclusion I will have to buy 3 tables in order to achieve what I was looking for.

So now I'm just going to put them side by side with a table in the middle and forget the corner.

So equipment list is now:

2x OceanRevive Arctic - S026

2 Reef Octopus BH1000

1 MP10

1 MP10wES

1 MP20wES

2 CPR AquaFuge 2 w/light

Now I was also debating doing an in-tank skimmer. Doing this would prove to be overflow proof. In order to do this I would need to build a corner box like a overflow would be big enough for the skimmer. Anyone have any info on this?

What kind of seahorses are you planning? A 40b isn't all that tall, and horses prefer height.

I'm slowly piecing together a sh setup as well, likely to house a couple H. erectus. I'm looking at a 60 cube that will be 24 inches high.

Depends on the species. I am looking at the ones that don't require the 18" height.

Tonga Rock from BRS just got here. I put it in tank to start getting it live. This is preliminary staging. Any recommendations for placement?

Keep in mind other macro algae and Gorgonians are going in as well for hitching posts.

I would go with 2 wp10 for the reef tank and use there dual controller. Pre order is only $125 for controller and 2 wp10. That way u save yourself from having 3diffrent controllers to hide. And have u looked into the reefbreeders light? There pretty sweet

Yea I noticed your other threads after I wrote that. That is gonna look pretty sweet with the hole wall being a tank. And better to split them with the table. I know some one else is building a dual 40breeder set up to but doing one salt one fresh but have them with no alteration. That will look cool too but I tHink the fresh side will have alage problems from the reef lighting.
