He seems perfectly fine during the day, but at night he always is at the surface sometimes on his side, tonight hes ontop of the pump for my hob skimmer? Hes been doing this for about a week or two, is he sick or just different?
also to add Ive have him for 5 months he only started doing this when i moved him into a different tank, same tank mates.

Heres a picture

I'm pretty new to this reef stuff but he may not feel safe in the new setup regardless of same tank mates. The floating on side is suspicious but I know in my freshwater tank has giant Danios that once its lights out they hit the surface and stay there til light is back. I believe its to avoid predators. In my FW I do in fact have predatorial fish. Do you?

Well then I'll wait for an expert to show up as I'm not entirely sure beyond my original post
