This is my 125 gallon, mixed reef(softy) tank. The DT dumps into a 40 Gal sump, which feeds a 40 gallon macro/Fuge tank(this dumps into DT), and a 10 gal mangrove Tank( dumps into sump). I have various mushrooms, zoas, a couple of Green Star Polyps( all from one plug), a couple of Xenia colonies, 2 gorgorians( I in DT, 1 in macro tank), I have some other polyps, 2 different colored cabbage(leather) corals, a 10" Long-tentacled anemone and frogspawn. I have Two maroon clowns, a yellow tang, a foxface, coral beauty, cleaner wraisse, 3 Pajama cardinals, Gold Diamond gobie, various snails, various hermits, a coral banded shrimp in Dt and one in Macro tank, and a cucumber. I also have numerous ghost shrimp in Macro tank. I bought a 125 off CL and moved everything from my 90 and 45 into it. I have about 200lbs of rock, 120 lbs of sand and it runs off 2 closed loops with added power-heads. I drilled the tank myself and made my own overflow. I also built the stand. It has 2 48", 4-bulb, 54 watt, T-5's and 2 96 watt P/C's. I run a skimmer, Phosphate reactor and Bio-pellets in sumps as well as a canister filter with carbon and ceramic bio-pellets. I set the tank up in Aug 2011.

Good coral growth. Looks like you could improve your water quality. Maybe remove bio pellets and canister filter. There are many DIY ways to run carbon & phosban without a canister filter.

Good Luck!

2 years total since I moved it from my 90 into the 125. The first pic is from 12/18/2012 and the second is from 01/02/2014. I put the bio-pellets in to attempt to lower nitrates. So I shouldn't run a canister filter? I clean it every month and add new carbon every 3 months. Here is a photo of the 90 gallon before I moved everything into the 125.
