I'm rebuilding my 72g bowfront and thinking of removing the'printed' background and replacing with a plain blue. What type of paint shold I use, and what are 'good' colors?

Would a Krylon spray can do the job or it is more complicated than that?

i used Krylon Flat black to paint the back of my tank. the only issue i had was that the paint did not bond to the glass very well so it was easly wiped off. but as long as i dont touch it, it is fine.

I always use plastidip. It is like a spray on rubber paint. It peels off like a sticker if you want to change it.

Why paint? Put on the blue/black reversible film...easy to change, and if necessary you can remove it to inspect back of tank...

I use rustolium acrylic, but I may try the plastidip to paint my overflow.

I've always used Krylon it works great. I always do black though non gloss so as far as blue I'm not sure. If there's an overflow I'd tape off that section so you can view back there if a fish jumps in or something you can see it

I used krylon fusion in flat black. It took maybe 3 or 4 coats for full coverage.

I did one tank with krylon fusion and it came out nice and sticks well but after I did it I found some black vinyl at an automotive store. I put the vinyl on another tank and its honestly alot easier to apply and I think it looks better.
