Good morning everyone,

I would like to know your opinion to the following.

Unfortunately because of my job I can only make monthly TPA's with natural seawater. Now I ask, since I'm using natural seawater will be worth dosing phytoplankton? I have a complete system ready to start breading Phyto but I get doubts if I will not "vicious" the aquarium.

Best regards
Pedro

Sorry for the English but I'm from Portugal.

IMO it is not really worth it, it will help feed the zooplankton that corals and smaller fish feed on but in a established tank the zooplankton will feed off of algae anyway to get enough food.

Hi shifty51008,

Thanks for the reply, yes it looks that I spend money for nothing :-/.
Right now I'm experience too much nutrients on the water, I will have to re-think all this thing again.

Regards

Pedro

Question. Is the phytoplankton that you buy alive?

Hi,

I don't buy it I got a breeder that I intend to start using but since I collect sea water I don't know if it worth breeding phyto.
