I have a 12 gallon cube. Currently I am using a 70W MH 14K bulb. I have 2 clowns, some zoas on the bottom and a few frags of tree coral and 1 pumping zinia. I just bought an LEd light which has 36 Dual Daylight/36 Dual Actinic LEDs, 72 LEDs Total. It is 18W. What is the best way to acclimate my current corals to this light. Any help is appreciated.

Is the light dimmable?

that fixture is using 1/4 watt LED's... I don't think you'll have to worry much about acclimation. If you have access to a PAR meter from a LFS or possibly a local reef club I'd be curious what kid of PAR it's producing... that's a lot of LED's, but very low power. If it's dimmable then you can turn it down to 50% or so and increase it over a couple weeks... if it's not dimmable then you can either raise it higher above the water level or put it on a timer and start off with something like 4 hours a day and gradually increase the length it's on over a couple weeks.

Sorry I should have mentioned that it is dimmable. I don't have a par meter or access to one.

My tank is 12" deep so I should get better PAR readings
