I'm setting up the plumbing for my saltwater mixing station. Part of this is the return portion of the pump - hose bard to use for water changes. I need to cover about 50 ft across part of the house. I want to have as minimal resistance to flow as possible, but I don't want a huge 1 1/2" ID nylon tubing because 50' of that will be bulky and obnoxious in my garage.
I found a flat 1 1/2" ID hose (see pic). Is this safe to use? Any issues that anyone knows of for using this for top off water and water changes?
Thanks for all the help all!

Anyone? It is made by aqua ez. It is designed (I believe) to be a backwash hose for pools. It's 1 1/2" ID and flat when not in use (great for taking up less storage space in my garage). It feels like just a rubber hose...anything I should be concerned about or worried might be in the material?
TIA

You can use a regular garden hose, cut off the metal fittings and replace with plastic

I though about using a garden hose, but can't seem to find the ID of them. Any idea? I don't want to restrict the flow too much, it's moving 50ft horizontally already. Also, maybe some type of expandable one...trying to figure out how to take up less garage space with the hose too.

Regular garden hoses use 3/4" fittings

Anything in a garden hose I should look out for or stay away from?
