I am building a new 120 with 60 gal sump, I would like to use one pump to operate the Return, Chiller and Skimmer, is this a bad idea?:headwally:

You can't run a skimmer pump as a return pump.

No, you can do it as long as the skimmer has a pump for the bubbles.

Yes you can, as long as the skimmer is a beckett style skimmer, and you split it....one leg goes to the skimmer, and the other leg goes to the dt.

or just to feed skimmer who operates with a second recirculation pump, but then, is better to feed it from overflow

It's a skimmer that has it's own pump anyway they are expensive, so probably won't fit into your plan.

google recirculating skimmer for detailed results.
