I'm at my wits end here with this thing and is seeking professional help.
My issue is that there are about 100 micro little thingys per square inch of water.
The tank is 6 weeks old, I used very very fine dry "live sand" and did not rinse. I did perform 40% water change every 5 days.
Many of them are pods, but others I'm not sure about. There are many pods on my glass. I turned off my pump and these things are 100% suspended. The size of these things range from 100 micros to 10 micros (barely visible if face is pressed against the glass).
I have used filter floss along with an expensive HOB filter with biopellets, carbon, and sponge. I have another chamber with floss, carbon, and phosphate sponge.
I am 100% sure that they are not micro bubbles. 107% sure it's not calcium precipitation or carbonate precipitation. My nitrates are 0, phosphates are 0, pH 8.0, sg is 35ppm/1.026. I have very fine sand but my MP10ES that does not kick up any sand. I something see these particles floating up when my crabs dig the sand but I doubt that's the cause since sand would eventually fall back down.
Any idea what they could be? Is it because my tank does not have the "slime" in the sand to trap these things? Are they the pod's molt?
Thanks!
