Its like the polyps are falling off...or being eaten?

It is about 6 weeks in the tank (from LiveAquaria)
This one came in the same delivery (purple polyp green birds nest) and has shown growth already:

This pink birds nest has been in the tank a year and was the same size as the two new ones:

Overall the tank has been quite stable and healthy for some time aside from some bubble algae:

You can see the same birds nest in question just a few weeks ago looking good (upper left atop the rock):

If you read my recent mouse post...that was very recent and this issue started prior to that.
params are normal and steady:
phos ~0 per hanna; ph 8.2; cal 425; mag 1300; alk 8.3 no nitrites or nitrates; 1.025 sg...temp range 79-82. equipment in sig. T5s on 10 hrs, MH the middle 8...nothing has changed.
Would anything pick at this thing? I have a rabbit, yellow tank, blue chrome, couple of cleaner shrimp, some pepps somewhere, two toned blennie, couple of clowns....wrasse.
