Hello so long story short well it's not that long but

Got a refractomoter for x-mas ... Finally came in turns out my trusty swing arm is off (not surprised at all) and my dt salinity is not at 1.026 but it's at 1.030

So it's WC day anyway my totally volume is say 150g if I did a WC of like 25g of like 1.022 water would that be ok or what would you guys do

While fish and corals can handle quick drops in salinity much better than raising the salinity quickly, I would still proceed slowly, dropping the salinity 0.01 or 0.02 per day by removing salt water and replacing it with RO/DI water. Also, if you haven't done so be sure to calibrate your refractometer with 1.026 solution.

Ok thanks yea i guess there is no rush, i calibrated it with distilled water to Zero thats what it said in the instructions but should i get some calibration fluid is that better?

Yes, for a few dollars you can pick up a container of calibration fluid. Most testing instruments are more accurate when calibrated near the range you anticipate the test results to occur.
