I am having a brain fart and need help with what these two types of algae are.
The first is I believe Caulerpa? (sp) It is invading my main tank and I don't know how to kill it. I can't take every rock out of the tank. Can any fish (tangs) munch on these?

2) This is a green like algae that is blanketing my rocks and even gravel. It looks like red cyno bacteria, but it is green. I don't remember if cyano bacteria is green as well. Like I said, i'm having brain farts.

Appreciate all your help guys. Here are a few pics.

forgot to mention that the first algae is the stringy brownish leafs. The second algae is the green blanket algae.

The last 2 are cyno of the green type. As for the first 2 pictures I know its name but I just cant think of it right now. If you have a fuge I would pull it and place it in it.

We can kill that and preserve the coral

Pico reef pest algae challenge thread, search its on page two of the nanos forum
Post pics here of a sample rock before and after external treatment
Killing macros is usually easy with our technique its sixty pages long for a reason :)

Do one test rock see what you think
