This is a live rock that was cured from the LFS.

I fear it is green bubble algae

It's a bit hard to tell from your picture. Valonia (true bubble algae) typically has solitary bubbles or perhaps clusters of bubbles, but there is no stem connecting the individual bubbles in the cluster.

There is a type of caulerpa that has "bubble-like leaves" that can be confused with valonia, particularly when it's small.

You don't either one in your system, though, so I'd remove it.

sorry about the pic. It was an iphone pic cropped BIG TIME lol.

Ive got diatoms going crazy in my tank now - would I be good to grab an emerald or 2? I have a 150g with a 55 sump. Its been running just a bit over a week.

I wouldn't put an emerald crab, or any other macro-life into a tank that's only been running a week. Instead, manually remove what you can see, and only run the lights when you want to look into the tank.
