Be careful. Some have little metal pieces in the receiver end. The full plastic ones are fine.

Problem is they are made from nylon and nylon absorbs water and weakens. I'd expect them to fail within a few years.
I recently used polypropleyne cord to lash rock to a PVC frame.

I would use the black wire ties they are UV resistant and will last longer. All wire ties will become bridal and brake at some point over the years. stay away from T&B ties as they have the metal tabs, use a good tie like Tyton with a high tensile strenght and they will last much longer then a cheap wire tie.
