skimmer question... vertex or reef octopus

I recently bought a 120g saltwater tank. I have a few pet rocks I would like to keep in it.



Should I get a reef octopus skimmer or a vertex skimmer?

Never had a vertex but have read many good reviews. I own two external reef octopus skimmers and have been very happy with them both.

I have an older style vertex and the pumps are crap. 2 pumps and 3 impellers in about 5 years is not good.
