Is it better to plumb the inlet for the fuge part of the sump from the return line or off one of the main drain lines? The sump I built is pretty standard: Skimmer section where the tank drains dump -->return section via baffles<----fuge fed from return line .
My original plan was to plumb it with a T off the return line. But then I read a post that said all you were doing with that design is creating a circle between the fuge and the return
Makes me think it would be better to feed the fuge from one of the drain lines. Only because it's not water that has run through my skimmer already so the macro algae can take up some of the phosphates.
Looking for opinions/advice.
