I just upgraded from a 60 cube with a 20 gallon sump to a DSA 105 with a 100 gallon stock tank sump.Started with all new water and sand.I used a live bacteria and transferred the corals and fish over to new tank over about 3 days.Everything is doing good only problem I am having is brown diatoms on the sand bed and glass. Will this go away soon?i know I need more of a clean up crew then what I have now.No I haven't tested for anything yet.

Yes...it will go away in time, how much time is hard to say, everyone's tank is different. Once the diatoms use up the available food...they will die off. Just keep an eye on your water quality and wait.

A friends tank has had diatoms bad for several months now. He set it up 4 months ago and does have great husbandry skills and over 1000 gallons of other tanks. He has just started dosing carbon to help slow it down.

I am running a BRS carbon reactor now.
