Hi
I was looking at your MH lighting system.... http://www.marinedepot.com/a_lt_mh_ht.asp?CartId=
I'm getting a 55 gallon aquarium, 48-ishx13x22
now, If I got the 48 inch, 2 MH system, is it just a plug in and go, or am I going to need ballasts (ie: does it come with everything)

in other words, can I just plop if over my tank, plug it in, and let the light shine?

and, are they 250 or what? it doesn't really say what type of bulb your getting...
I see that it says ballast included now, so I answered my own question there....

and yet, one more question:
the free shipping offer:
I read the fine print, and it says that since ballasts are so heavy, they aren't free to ship (you pay part) but on the page for the lighting, it says: FREE SHIPPING ON ALL DELUXE AND RETRO LIGHTING SYSTEMS ON THIS PAGE ($37-$105 VALUE)

and since I'm looking at a deluxe system, which includes "# Remote ventilated, enclosed ballast with 10' power cord"

would that add to the shipping? (I have no problem with the insurance added, but...)

Hi,

Thanks for your inquiry. These fixtures, manufactured by Captive Sun, do indeed come fully assembled and ready to go. All the bulbs and ballasts are included. The wiring harnesses have quick disconnects installed for you to plug it into the ballast, or take it apart quickly. The standard metal halide bulbs included are the 175W 5500K. You can upgrade to different wattages and color temperatures at the bottom of the page.

We are indeed offering free shipping on these fixtures at this time. All you pay is the shipping insurance: which is $0.35 per $100.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
Joseph
