Reef Octopus BH-1000 TROUBLE!

Hi all, I noticed it was not being effective for at least a couple weeks decided it was time to pop it out and give it a run through. I wiped it out and looked through connections etc. Things seemed to be fine. When I turned it back on it was bubble city and trying to overflow. I did play around with the height of the outlet tube which didn't really change anything. Has anyone had a similar experience and possible solution? Thanks!

It looks like a good dry foam, maybe it's trying to catch up? Try to put the cup on it and let it run for a bit.

I had to cut the bigger circle sponge and kind of just lay it around the smaller one, if I kept it on the top of the slits it always overflowed. You could try removing it and see if it helps.
