I bet there are plenty of people who have a list of things that they want to do to their tank but just haven't gotten to it yet.

My list contains....
Move tank to the other side of the room.

Build new stand and sump first.

Set up mixing station.

Institute Automatic Water Change.

Set up automatic fill of RODI and saltwater containers.

Replumb the tank.

Set up LED lights.

Then I may be done.

Let's hear what the rest of you have plans to do.

Here's mine. Can't wait to get some ideas from others.

New lights (D120) then dimming hack!

New Canopy build

Automatic Water Change

Autofill ATO reservoir

Automate Mixing and RO/DI station

Some kind of cooling (chiller / fan)

Mindstream Monitoring :)

Autofill ATO reservoir I was going to use a solenoid controlled by the Water Level units on the RA.

What were you thinking of for automating the Saltwater mixing.

I thought something like a larger version of the Eheim autofeeder to dump a predetermined amount of salt into the container and then having a pump in there to mix it up, like everyone else does.

Still working out what is going to add the salt to the water.

How far can I run 12v power? And what gauge wiring would I need? I need to control a remote pump since the RO/DI is in the basement.

As far as mixing, and AWC, I'm going to setup a separate RAI. can add the salt manually, but I figured something like a WL sensor in the salt mixing bin. Filling it to 80% mixing in enough salt to make 35ppt when its at 90-95% and then using a salinity module top off to bring it the exact salinity i need.

I'm not an electrician, but I don't think there is a limit to the distance that 12v can run.

I was thinking of using Cat 5 wire and making a snake of 6 12v lines to run out to my garage.

I don't have that far to go, maybe 10' total. Going from the tank, through a wall into the garage.

For the salt that's what I'm thinking of doing too for now, but it would be great to automate that too.
Using a water level to fill the 20 gallon Brute Trash can, adding the salt manually and mixing.

I was going to put a Y on the output of my RO and then have 2 solenoids that will open to either container depending on which one needs to be filled.

Then I was going to have the portal or the app notify me when the salt container is 95% full so I know that it went on and that I have to add salt.

One issue I can see is that the salt container is never going to get completely empty so there will always be a little SW left in the bottom. The amount depends on where the water level sensor sits and where you have it set to turn on. (probably 1% or 0% if you can go to that).

Webcam is a nice thing I had one and replaced my router and I haven't been able to set it up again after the new router.

Redman88 I see you already have a little fish in that tank. :)

For me it is buy an Apex and also start an LED build... Hopfully both completed by April!

Also want to get a different ATO container integrated (currently an old salt bucket) nicely to stop the missus complaining!

Starting my 90 gallon build.

People who know me know I've been talking about this for away.
First is just started with moving the 55 to the other side of the room, but I found a perfect reason to tell my wife I need a new tank.

The 55 is splitting at the center support and we had 125 open up on us years ago, so I know she doesn't want to go thru that again.

I ordered the tank yesterday.
A basic AGA Reef Ready 90 gallon with the overflow on the left center.

http://www.aqueonproducts.com/assets/010/13492_400wh.jpg

I started building a stand for it last weekend.
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/sac9665/IMAG0353_zpsjzefekrm.jpg

I had to move it back into the house for now because my wife feels that she needs to put her car in the garage.
So I just made some room for it.
The TV will be hung on the wall in the corner and the stand will move over to the other side of the room and be used as a end table for my recliner.

The stand is going not going to be skinned right now for 3 reasons.

1) In a rush to replace the 55 since the brace is starting to split.
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/sac9665/IMAG0355_zps6nzvng8g.jpg

2) and I don't have the money right now.

I have a stock pile of stuff that I have been accumulating for this upgrade.

The pump will be a Jebao DC6000

I have a DIY sump with sections for skimmer, fuge and return.
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk250/sac9665/IMAG0227_zpsjj3ifhpy.jpg

I have 2 Evergrow Dimmable Full Spectrum D2120 120W LED Lights on the way that I can hopefully connect to my Reef Angel controller
http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NTAwWDUwMA==/z/lQUAAOSwGvhT40gg/$_12.JPG

I'm going to move my NatuReef Dinitrification chamber, rock, coral and fish over from my 55 gallon tank.
Proabaly plenty more, but I'm forgetting it now.

I'm excited to be setting up a 180 in wall with a BA overflow on the narrow side with a maxspect gyre generator!

Sacohen

I wanted to do a BA overflow, but after I started pricing out the tank, the cost was out of control and I'm not comfortable drilling the tank myself. Nor do I have the time right now.
