I wanted to share this, 2 weeks ago I have a power outage one night while temps outside were 5 degress with 20mph winds. Power was out all night and most of the day. I was worried about my reef tank. I have recently re-done it. All new rock, sand etc... I put a blanket over the tank to try and hold as much heat in as I could. When the power came back on late that evening the inside of the house was at 44 degrees and my tank was 58 degress. I ususally keep it running at 78 so after a 20 degree drop nothing died. SPS, Zoa's, Rose tip, all fish etc... lost nothing I could not believe it. I did add a second heater to the display tank when power came back on. When my digital heater started blinking and showing 58 I knew everything would die, but nothing did!

That's awesome! Good thinking on the blanket maybe the drop without it wouldn't have left you with the same results.
