I am settled on a 35-40g Nano reef tank to hold corals, anemone, clowns, etc..

The trick is I want the bare minimum cords and nothing sticking out the top or hanging on back. If that means more water changes that's ok. I am really looking for a completely self contained, good, clean looking tank to go in the living room at end of couch. The tank will sit on top of a faux antique chest. I really like the Nuvo Mini 38 - just trying to figure out if it can be run quietly/simply, without a bunch of "bolt ons".

The light is another big question. I think the most attractive solution would be one that comes off the back of the tank. Please make suggestions on lights.

Any help is greatly appreciated.:headwally:

Ive been putting a 30 high together and am only putting a jeabo and a heater in mine. 45 lbs of sand and 50 lbs of rock u could get a tank and drill from the bottom and have a pvc drian and return from bottom then put a return heater and whatever below. this is best idea.

Or a heater and mp10 a heater would be the only thing in it just don't out a lot of fish inverts and lots of rock and water changes. this is cheapest easy

Or closed loop and a inline heater. no cords at all but not good filtration

two clamp on par 38's on back

I upgraded the return pump for my nuvo 38 to a eheim compact 2000+ and cranked all the way up there is no need for other powerheads. Tunze 9004 slides in the back and nothing shows. Only cord seen is my radion. Super clean.

Thats awesome - exactly the kind of feedback I'm looking for. Which Radion do you have?

Thanks

My reeflink is on the top shelf and on the bottom I have my tunze auto top off bucket and my BRS calcium, magnesium, and alk supplements. Nothing crazy

What does the Reeflink do for you?

Also, how do you like your light. Do you suggest it? Do you think I could bring it off the back of the tank on an arm?

The reef link lets me control my radion with my iPad basically. Radions can be mounted lots of different ways. It's one of the best lights out there. IMO
