Help with lighting

Hey all im new to the hobby and might have jumped the gun. I bought Led ribbon lights Bright White/RGB 50/50. Set them up on a old fixture a friend gave me. Just wondering if these will work with FOWLR. Or did i just waste my time and money. Here is a pic of what i did. Oh its on my 40g breeder that i am currently cycling.

For a FOWLR the lighting does not matter as long as its appealing to you...

If you like the brightness and color, then that's all that matter. You might be able to keep some softies under those lights as well.

Thank you for the reply guys! I will look into the softies and see what lighting requirements they would need once I have water cycled
