In the room where I have my tank, the last 2 days water has been leaking all over the floor and walls from the window. Also, the little section where the window slides is about 2" deep and was completely full of water, I feel like I removed around a gallon. How can I prevent this?

I had to have a Fan installed in the Attic of my house because moisture goes up and you will get mold in your Attic. (I had to have that removed) If you have condensation on the windows that means there is to much moisture in your house.

That is what I had to do anyway.

A dehumidifier may help but that seems like an awful lot of water...

Well I live in a rental so that's probably not an option. Is there any other way of removing or reducing the moisture?

Yeah I can't believe how much it is. There was always a fair amount but with the extremely cold weather the past few days it seems to have really gotten out of hand.

You should get a humidity meter to see what it is first.

Thanks I will do that and post results.

You can try a sheet of clear plastic taped over the outside window frame.
Maybe the condensation will happen there instead?
Worth a try if you have some clear plastic sheeting laying around.
All you have to lose is your time and some duct tape.

Water condensing on the window means that either the humidity in the room is too high, or the windows are poorly insulated. Given it is a rental, better circulation of air in and out of the room ought to fix things.
