So I had an ich outbreak as you read in my title. I am left with a wrasse, and 3 green chromis which don't have any smyptoms yet. My question is, if they don't become infected will the ich eventually die off? Or am I prolonging the inevitable of not ridding my tank of it? I would consider running the tank fish less also if this won't harm my corals. How long should I go fish less if I go this route? Thanks in advance!!

I forgot my goby who also has no symptoms...

If a fish in your tank has ich, your tank has ich and all other fish will eventually be affected. However, are you sure it is ich? Usually quick deaths are velvet or brook.

Wouldnt brook or velvet take pretty all the stock out? Well that was my assumption.

Would need to be definate that it is ich. But if you want to be for sure, QT and 2 months of a fallow tank would be best.

So let's say it wasn't ich but brook or velvet, would having a fish less tank for 2-3 months wipe it out?

Start using garlic juice, from your LFS. Saved all my fish. Spread it on the nori and add a few drops to any thing thawed out.
