What water filter have you bought and did you have a good experience with/ still having a good experience with it?
Im looking at Ro/Di right now but I am not sure what company or what model to get. It would be nice to have around 30 gallons a day. It would be only needed for a small tank and also for my drinking water.

Lookup Bulkreefsupply.com. They have very good filters for good prices. They are also very helpful if you want to directly speak with them. Hope this helps.

Not issues with my Vertex PuraTek unit in almost 3 years. It makes everything so automated.

I use the Vertex Puratek also. I can make a lot of water in a hurry relatively speaking. It back flushes itself. I could not be happier swathing over to this unit.

I don't think RODI is good for drinking water. I believe drinking systems are RO only.

i got a spectrapure 90 gpd refurb that i am quite pleased with.

as julie said though, you don't want to drink RODI water. it is too clean for consumption.

watergeneral from filterdirect on eBay for last 7 or 8 years for around $100 back then. The same unit is now $150 for some reason. IMO most units are the same, it's the media quality that makes the difference.

Air water and ice filters and membranes for me in a Kent marine unit. Would get a typhoon 3 next time around though.

Not one person for spectrapure. The spectrapure 90 gpd refurb is one of the better deals on the market for rodi. 130$ for a pretty much brand new unit

BRS sells a RODI and drinking water combo filter. I believe the drinking water is tapped off before the DI stage.

wooahh why should i not drink RO/DI water?? you would think more pure water would be better.. doesn't an RO leave 1-5% of the contaminates in the water? with fluoride and all the other nasty chemicals in City wouldn't this be an issue to drink?

Rodi is considered "hungry" water. It will strip and dissolve vitamens and minerals it comes in contact with.

Yep, in fact if your salt mix didn't put these minerals back in your tank, all your livestock would be dead.
